The Smith Family is sad to announce the passing of a loved one.

Mr. Willie Smith was born April 22, 1941 in Sylvester, Georgia to the late Mr. Arthur Smith, Sr. and the late Mrs. Carrie Mae Smith. He was joined in marriage with Annie Smith of Springfield, Massachusetts. He will forever live in hearts of his four children: Pamela, Beverly, and Marshall all of Springfield, Massachusetts and Fredrick of Atlanta, Georgia. In 2002, he moved back to Poulan, Georgia to reside with his sister, Carrie Walker.

On Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at Ashburn Healthcare in Ashburn, Georgia, Willie completed his journey here on earth. Willie was preceded in death by his parents: Arthur and Carrie Mae Smith, one sister: Juanita Lamar, four brothers: Henry Smith, Samuel (Fat) Smith, Isaac Smith, and Arthur Smith, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memories: four children: Pamela, Beverly, and Marshall all of Springfield, Massachusetts and Fredrick of Atlanta, Georgia; six sisters: Beverly (Clinton) Harris of Springfield, Massachusetts, Vivian (Melvin) Sparks of Springfield, Massachusetts, Lillian (James) Bennett, Retha Bibbs of Atlanta, Georgia, Virginia McGhee of Washington, D.C., Lorraine Williams of Clinton, Maryland and Carrie (Roosevelt) Walker of Poulan, Georgia; one brother: Johnny Ray Smith of Atlanta, Georgia, his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws and cousins.
