Dear family, I am so sorry I cannot be with you today. I wanted to be with you and to hug my cousin Jewel and to tell her once again how much I love her. Some things in life hit you hard, and this is one of them. Peggy and I spent many years of our childhood and formative years together. We were cousins who knew that blood was thicker than water, sharing aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins. and bonding through childhood, marriages, and children. Years would go by, but when we spoke, it was as if we had spoken only yesterday. Such great times and such precious, precious memories that I will carry the rest of my life. I will miss my cousins that have gone on before me. Deborah, Imogene, Boy, and others. I especially will miss Peggy; she was my cousin and my friend. I am so proud to carry the name of our grandmother and great-grandmother. Margaret Slade Rest well, Peggy, until we meet again. Margaret Slade Kelley
