Obituary For Johhny McCluster

The McCluster Family is sad to announce the passing of a loved one.

Mr. Johnny “Mook” McCluster was born on May 31, 1937 in Sylvester, GA to the late John “Buddy” McCluster and the late Gertrude Holmes McCluster. He resided in Sumner, GA until the time of his demise on September 25, 2020 at his home. Mr. McCluster was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, one brother, one son, and one great-grandson. He leaves to mourn his passing but cherish his memories: his wife of 54 years, Mrs. Leola P. McCluster of Sumner, GA, his children; Cary (Fran) McCluster of Sylvester, GA, Ms. Janet M. Shipp of Orlando, FL, Mrs. Katherine (Alfred) Harpe of Albany, GA, Mr. Gary McCluster of Sumner, GA, Mr. Robert (April) McCluster of Albany, GA and Mr. Calvin (Arnita) McCluster of Adel, GA. He leaves one brother; Mr. Robert (Donna) McCluster of North Carolina, one sister-in-law, Marion Putmon and three brothers-in-law all of Tifton, GA. He also leaves to morn his passing a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

    I am so sorry for your loss. I have so many wonderful memories of Mooks. I would always stop by and see him when I came back to visit. He worked for my granddaddy and my daddy. He was part of our family and we loved him. God has another wonderful farmer. I pray God gives you strength
