The Jackson Family is sad to announce the passing of a loved one.

Corine Jackson was born on January 2, 1947 to the late Mr. O.B. Summerlin and Rejester Summerlin in Sylvester, Georgia. Corine received her formal education in the Worth County School System. She is a 1965 graduate of J. W. Holley High. Corine was a dedicated and long time Certified Nursing Assistant at Cobblestone Nursing Home in Moultrie, Georgia. After 47 years, she retired in 2008 to take on the responsibility of caring for her elderly sisters. Corine was baptized at an early age and joined Chapel Hill Baptist Church. She was a member of the Usher Board and served faithfully. She loved the Usher Union with a passion. She was a Doorkeeper in the House of the Lord until her earthly transition. On Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Willson Hospice House in Albany, Georgia surrounded by family, Corine answered her final call and entered into eternal rest. Although she is absent from the body we know she is present with the Lord and forever in our hearts. Corine is preceded in death by her parents: O.B. and Rejester Smmerlin; one sister: Gladys Smith; and two nephews: Melvin Summerlin and Deacon Bobby Summerlin. Corine leaves to cherish her memories and legacy of her life: one son: Glenn Howard (Jacquelyn) Jackson of Moultrie, GA; one daughter: Krystal Gail King of Jacksonville, FL; one granddaughter: Jaleise Denae Jackson of Moultrie, GA; three sisters: Mary Alice Fowler and Nadine Summerlin of Sylvester, GA and Geneva (Henry) Howard of Jacksonville, FL; four nephews: Sammy (Jacqueline) Smith of Sylvester, GA; Darrell (Vonda) Smith of West Palm, FL, Pastor Marvin Summerlin of Albany, GA and Henry Howard, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL; five nieces: Danielle Howard and Nachelle (Rodney) Owens of Jacksonville, FL, Bretta Moore of Albany, GA, Brenda (Jessie) Lawson of Sylvester, GA and Betty Summerlin of Molin, IL; one uncle: Willie James (Jessie) Summerlin of Doerun, GA and a host of cousins and close friends that will miss her dearly.
