Allan Almand passed away peacefully on January 3, 2025, leaving behind a lifetime of stories, laughter, and adventure.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Aundeen Reid Almand and James Almand. An only child, Allan shared a special bond with his large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.

A true free spirit, Allan lived much of his life in Florida and Georgia, though his travels carried him across much of the nation. From working on shrimp boats, to mastering the craft of carpentry, to finding the best fishing hole, he embraced hard work and adventure with equal enthusiasm. He never met a stranger and always had a good story ready, usually delivered with a quick laugh and a twinkle in his eye.

He had a special place in his heart for the neighborhood cats he faithfully cared for, and for his loyal recent sidekick, Dusty, who rarely left his side.

Allan will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled in the spring for those who would like to gather, remember, and honor his remarkable life.
