The Thomas Family is sad to announce the passing of a loved one.
Johnnie Will “Pete” Thomas was the son of the late Johnnie B. Thomas and Mattie Mae Perry. He was born in Worth County, Georgia on April 22, 1946.
He attended the Worth County Public School System. At a young age, he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and joined Hopewell Baptist Church.
He was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Jessie Mae Thomas.
He worked many years as a farmer until he became employed with Brigadier in Sylvester, GA. He was known by many for fixing a variety of things until his health started to decline.
On May 12, 2019, the Lord called His servant, Johnnie home to rest. He was preceded in death by his wife, one daughter: Stacy, parents, brothers: Ellie Lee, George, A.C., Willie D, Clifford, and John Arthur, his sisters: Viola, Dinah, Johnnie B, Thelma, Madgerline, Mattie, Annie and Emma Jean.
Johnnie leaves to cherish his precious memories 11 children: Wanda Murray, Patrick (DeDe) Thomas, Tracy Thomas, Fredrick (Zerita) Thomas, Michael (Janice) Wiley, Tomika (Corey) Canteen, Avis (Sedrick) Thomas-Roundtree, Vasalaki (Bernard) Golson, Johnny (La’Shae) Thomas, Garrick (Shanteria) Harris, Sheena (Joshua) Harris; a loving brother: Earnest “Sonny” Thomas. He was the grandfather of 10 grandsons, 17 granddaughters, 3 great grandsons and 6 great granddaughters, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
