Obituary For Ella Mae Williams

The Williams Family is sad to announce the passing of a loved one.

Ella Mae Brown Williams was born on June 5, 1952, to the late Henry Brown and Ethel Green in Tampa, Florida.

Ella Mae attended school in the Hillsborough County School System. Ella met Dolphus Williams Jr. and later moved to Sumner, Georgia. Ella and Dolphus Jr. married and was blessed with four beautiful children. Ella joined Powell Chapel Baptist Church where she was a faithful member with many titles. Ella was employed with the Worth County School System as a cafeteria worker until retirement. Ella enjoyed going to church, singing and spending time with family especially her grandchildren. She was an awesome Woman of God who loved everyone she made contact with.

On Thursday, July 25, 2019, Ella Mae answered the Master’s call. She was preceded in death by her parents: Henry Brown and Ethel Green, her husband: Dolphus Williams, Jr., two sisters: Rachel Murph and Annabell Ricks, sister-in-law: Dorothy Mae Gilford and brother-in-law: James Lee Williams.

She leaves to cherish her memories four children: Dolphus (Phyllis) Williams III, Dorothy Williams of Sylvester, Georgia, Bridgette (Michael) Hunt of Albany, Georgia and Henry (Jasmine) Williams of Warner Robins, Georgia; ten grandchildren: Quandrea, Tavashia, DaWarren, Amber, Dashaun, JaMichael, Jayden, Jaidyn, Kamryn and Kyleigh; one great-grandchild: Quntez; sisters: Betty J. Sallet and Margarette Rose Brown of Tampa, Florida and Ethel Vernell Drew of Hallandale Beach, Florida; brothers: Jerome (Jacquelyn) Brown and Richard Ashwood of Tampa, Florida; sisters-in-law: Clora Teresa (Charlie James) Hooks, Rosa Ann (Dannie Lee) Edwards and Leola Brown all of Sylvester, Georgia; two special friends that she loved dearly: J.C. and Ruby Wheeler; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, goddaughters, godsons and friends who loved her dearly.
