The Alexander family is sad to announce the passing of a loved one.
Deaconess Brenda Joy Alexander was born July 16, 1951 in Tifton, Georgia and departed this life on Sunday, September 29, 2019.
Deaconess Alexander is a graduate of Tift County High School. After high school, she continued her education at Brevard Community College in Cocoa, Florida. Her employment includes 9 years as a dietician at Tift Regional Hospital, where she served until her health issues caused her to retire.
Deaconess Brenda was the devoted wife of Joe Lee Alexander. Deaconess Alexander was a member of New Life Ministries under the leadership of Bishop Horace Bentley. Her church family called her “Sister Be Right” from her years of singing in the choir with her husband, “Deacon Be Right”. Deaconess Brenda was preceded in death by parents: David Johnson and Sarah Ann Mckay (George Mckay, Sr.) She leaves to cherish her memories her children: Kayla Alexander, LeQuith (Joseph) Ludden, Xabier Tabor, and a special goddaughter Katalina Robinson; her siblings: Carrie Lee (Gary) Wilson, George (Sabrina) Mckay, Jr, James (Carolyn) Lorenzo Graham, Annette Graham of Charleston, SC, Jennifer (Calvin) Cromwell of Charleston, SC, Betty McKnight, Elsie Mae (Calvin) Chukes, Eula Mae Mckay, and Christine (Sammy) Yancey; her sister-n-law: Arsie (Cedric) Hairston; her brothers-in-law: Leroy (Keisha) Ferguson and Artis Bailey and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends and family that will miss her dearly. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
